A warm welcome to Red Velvet Revelry’s “Ladies Who Like It” Show.
We were delighted to present our brand new show “Ladies Who Like It” as part of the Scottish International Storytelling Festival on Tuesday 19th October at 7.30pm at the Scottish Storytelling Centre in Edinburgh.
There will be a filmed version of the show available soon for viewing at home.
We will add a link here when it is ready…
Imagine a space where women could tell and hear
each other’s joyful, life affirming stories about
sexuality, shared with warmth, compassion and knowing laughter….
An evening of humorous, inspiring and informative contemporary collected tales about sex, and original songs, presented for the wellbeing and inspiration of other women, and for those who care about them.
Performed by Marie Louise Cochrane and Heidi Docherty, with
musical accompaniment from Suzanne Fivey.
The Red Velvet Revelry Show
Revel Sisters Marie Louise and Heidi invite you to an evening of stories, songs, poetry, fun facts and the occasional crocheted visual aid….
Our aim is to explore and celebrate women and our sexuality in a life affirming, health giving, joyful, occasionally bashful, often cheeky way.
The Live show is available for women’s celebrations, festivals and theatrical engagements. We are based in central Scotland with good transport links to the world!
For details of forthcoming public events you can attend, or to book the show for your event please get in touch for more information
Who are these Revel Sisters…?
Revel Sister Heidi has been involved in a cornucopia of different roles from stilt-walking off Broadway and fire dancing at the Edinburgh Fringe, to expert macaroni artist supremo. A founding member of The Parma Violents comedy duo, Heidi has been a radio and tv reviewer, voice over artist, and Fringe First comedy writer and performer.
Revel Sister Marie Louise loves telling stories, writing and performing jazzy songs. She loves creating a space where truths can be shared with laughter and in solidarity. It seems the decision to ignore her first sense of calling to be a nun, has proved to be the right one….
What our audience say
A really great night, didn’t know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. Thank you.
It was like all those things you have experienced as a woman being said out loud, great fun. I loved it.”
